Derwent Sailing Squadron

A Working Bee will be held on Sat 10th of July, with works to be done include: (A) Concreting between slip rails & formation of a ramp outside dingy shed (getting ready for new tenants),(B) Concreting between hardstand rails approx another 9 meters.(C) Placement & concreting in of a pole adjacent to newly repaired fire hydrant on corner of club.(D) Putting up some new signs @ the entrance & on the front facade of the club.(E) Moving of fence adjacent to car park.(F) General tidy up of front of club (washing down of walls, hosing of car park ect).And anything else that Tuesdays meeting brings up!  So come along should be a great day, I will find some snags & refreshments for when we are done.

Situated adjacent to Wrest Point Casino in a picturesque corner of the Derwent River the club features a 130 berth marina, slipyard and hardstand area for one design racing yachts and all weather boat ramp. For club members there are numerous storage sheds as well as davits and other storage for tenders within the marina compound.

For racing dinghies there is a secure shed with racks for storage of about 60 boats and a floating pontoon off the front lawn for launching and retrieving. Trailer boat parking is available next to the hardstand area to allow trailer sailers to remain fully rigged between launching.
