Divine Madness AUS105

  • Owners: Steve Chau, Craig Squires, Paul Turner
  • Regular Helmsperson: Steve
  • Crew: Craig, Paul, Will , Anna, Mark, Michael, Dianne, Rainman, Greg

  • Past Names / Owners:
  • Meaning behind boat name: Came with the boat - it was too "divine" to change.
  • Sponsors: Would love one or two.
  • Helmsperson's biggest fear: Not knowing what course we're sailing [again!!!!]. I'm sure that course book is here somewhere!!!!!
  • Crew's biggest fear:Will singing James Brown!
  • Most expensive recent gear breakage: Anna's beanie.
  • Moments of Great Success: Making it to exactly 400kg for the state championships crew weigh in! [The crew had very few items of clothing left to take off and the members watching from the bar at the DSS were looking worried].
  • Moments of Great Failure: Finishing a two handed race early because Craig forgot that the boom is harder than his head!
  • Longest Sailing Expedition: [Longest motoring expedition] Trying to motor over to Bellerive for a twilight with no breeze and a broken outboard that would only do .025 Knots! Ended up starting the race 10 minutes late when the breeze finally arrived [and still managed to overtake all of the div 4 boats before the second mark -  JPower!]
  • Shortest Sailing Expedition: Starting the outboard and about to untie the lines only to realise that Steve had removed and taken home the tiller to give it a varnish.
  • Quote of the year: "I can't believe you talked me into a six hundred dollar clock!!!!!" - Paul on the new digital race compass.......
